The saved list. From the scholarship list you can save an award. That saved list stays in this browser. If you later share with a counselor, they see how many awards you saved, not a copy stored on our servers.
What is due next. When you are signed in, the deadlines page lists dates already on file for packets you started. Checklist next, under My Applications, is a short working list of what to do. Empty stays empty. We do not invent a task or a date.
Essays. Free keeps the essay coach. It reviews your own draft against the prompt and the word limit, when we copied those from the official page, and it shows small edits you choose to use. The essay library, where you save your own essays and reuse your own paragraphs, is a Scholar tool. Nothing in either place writes the essay for you.
Applications. Free includes one application inside Next Scholar, from the form through a PDF you can email. Scholar adds unlimited applications inside Next Scholar. You still send each application the way the sponsor asks. Marking one sent only updates your record here. We do not submit it, mail it, or email the sponsor.
Deadline alerts. You can add a date on file to your calendar on the free plan. Email alerts for upcoming due dates are a Scholar tool. We remind you about dates already on the listing or a packet you started. We do not invent a date.
Documents. Document Vault stores a file once, such as a transcript or an essay PDF you already wrote, so a later packet can reuse it. We do not create a document you do not have, and we do not file it for you.
Counselor sharing, if you choose. It is off until you enter a counselor’s code, read what will be shared, and say yes. Sharing is for students 13 and older. A counselor sees counts and dates: profile percent, how many awards you saved, applications in progress or sent, deadlines in the next 30 days, and how many essay drafts you have. Essay words are included only if you tick a separate box. You can stop any time. The counselor view does not require a paid student plan.
The last-checked date. Each deadline shows the date on file. When we have checked the official page, the listing also shows that day. Confirm the official page before you rely on the date. A Verified badge means we checked the page. It does not mean you qualify.
