About Next Scholar

Next Scholar is built by MAOMA Enterprises LLC to help students and families find real scholarships, with official sources and deadlines.

What we do

• Show scholarships, grants, fellowships, and tuition waivers that have a public official source.
• Show deadlines, and the day we last checked the official page when we have checked it.
• Help you keep essays, documents, and applications in one place.
• Suggest essay edits that you choose to use.

What we do not do

• We do not make up awards.
• We do not write your essays.
• We do not decide who wins or promise a win.
• We are not a lender and we do not rank schools.

How a listing gets on the list

A public listing starts from a sponsor's official page or another public official document. We record the name, the sponsor, the official link, the amount on file, and the deadline on file. If we cannot point to an official source, the listing does not go on the public list. We do not invent a scholarship to fill a gap.

How we check a listing

When we open the official page, we record that check and the date. Verified explains what that mark means. It means we checked an official source. It does not mean we confirmed that you are eligible, and it does not mean you will receive the award.

If the official page and our listing disagree, the official page is the rule. Use Report incorrect on the listing, or email us, and we look at the official page again.
