The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) runs Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Eligible students can receive up to $5,665 to help cover tuition. NYS net taxable income up to $125,000 for dependent students; $60,000 for married independent students without dependents; $30,000 for single independent students without dependents. Be a legal NYS resident for 12 continuous months (or qualify under the NYS DREAM Act), and complete the FAFSA and TAP application each year.
