This page explains what Next Scholar keeps when you use the website or the app on iPhone and iPad, and what we do not do with it. The app opens this same website. It does not keep a separate copy of your essays or documents.

Information you give us
- Your name and email when you create an account.
- A password if you sign in with email. We do not ask for your Google or Apple password.
- Profile answers you choose to add, such as state, grades, major, school, and similar facts.
- Essays, statements, and documents you upload.
- Applications you start here, including deadlines and status you record.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account, show matches from the official catalog, keep your essays and documents, and help you organize applications. Match is free to start. We do not use your information to promise an award.
What we do not do
- We do not sell student information, essays, documents, or profile answers.
- We do not file the FAFSA for you, and we do not charge a fee to file it.
- We do not ask for an FSA ID or a Social Security number.
- We do not decide who wins an award. A match is not a promise you will receive it.
- We do not replace your essay on our own. Suggested edits stay suggestions until you apply them.
- We are not a lender, and we do not list loans as awards.
Who can see it
- You can see your own account.
- Essay drafts stay private. A parent sees the words only if you turn on sharing. Turning sharing off hides the drafts again.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, that company only confirms it is you. We store the name and email they send for your Next Scholar account.
- If you pay for a plan, the card processor handles the card. Next Scholar does not store your card number.
- We do not sell this information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Staying signed in
When you sign in, this site keeps a sign-in cookie in the browser so you stay signed in. It lasts about a week. Signing out clears it.
Plans
Match is free to start. Free, Scholar ($9.99/mo or $99.99/yr), and Achiever ($19.99/mo or $199.99/yr) are a flat subscription — not coaching, not a percent of awards, and not a percent of aid. This page does not sell a plan.
Asking about your information
Email [email protected] to ask what we have stored for your account, or to ask us to delete it. There is no separate form on this page.
