Need-based one-time grant for women who are U.S. or Canadian citizens or legal permanent residents, living and studying in the U.S. or Canada, whose education was interrupted by at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student in adult life, who have started a program of more than one term and are within 18 consecutive months of completing an accredited certificate or degree that leads to employment or job advancement, and who have not already earned a master's degree or above. Not for doctoral or post-master's study, prerequisite courses for another program, or living expenses and loan repayment. Maximum $4,000, paid once. A local P.E.O. chapter must interview the student and vote to recommend her before P.E.O. emails an application. That emailed application is due 30 days later. A sponsorship inquiry is not an application. No single calendar deadline is printed.
